Why do I need a visa? |
 |
 |
A visa is normally a one page endorsement in your passport.
The visa serves as proof of your compliance with the
different requirements needed in order to visit the country
of your choice. Several countries does not require visas
depending on what country your passport is issued from.
However, if a visa is required and you do not have one upon
arrival, you can be denied entry and returned to your home
country.
Visas come in different categories depending on the reason for
your visit to the specific country. Typical visa categories
include tourism, business and short/long term immigration. A visa usually expires
after a certain amount of time. Some visas can be renewed
while others expire. It is important to enter a
country with the correct visa for your purpose, to avoid any
issues with immigration authorities.
